Sweet Guluva, real name Akhonamathemba Mbele, is the winner of Big Brother Mzansi Season 5. The 23-year-old football player and barber from KwaZulu-Natal walked away with R2 million after a tense final night. He says he had no idea he was this famous until he left the house.
“I didn’t know I was this popular. I just wanted to be myself in the house,” Sweet Guluva said.
He beat runner-up Uyanda Hlangabezo from Gqeberha, with Jojo, Nate, and Nsuku making up the rest of the top five.

Now that he’s out of the house, Sweet Guluva says he wants to enter the music industry, focusing on gqom and amapiano. He hopes to work with big names like Kabza de Small, DJ Maphorisa, and DJ Lag.
He’s also thinking about trying acting and investing in the property business to grow his R2 million.
