Tiwa Savage joined the conversation about Nigeria’s “Big 3”—Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy—who are widely regarded as the top artists in the Nigerian music scene. Speaking in an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM, Lagos, Savage shared her thoughts on the discussion, which sometimes considers adding a fourth artist, with names like Rema, Asake, and herself being suggested.

When asked if she feels she should be part of the “Big 3” or “Big 4,” Savage responded,

“Don’t get me started. If we are to go talent for talent, mic for mic, I am the Big 1. If you take off the numbers and whatever you want to judge the Big whatever with, you can’t see me on the mic.”

She noted, however, that the ranking isn’t solely based on musical talent.
