Nigerian artist Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, recently expressed her admiration for the controversial American rapper Kanye West. In a candid conversation on the latest episode of the ‘Shopping The Sneakers’ podcast, Tems revealed her deep appreciation for West's artistry, stating,
“I love Kanye [West]. I relate to him sometimes.”
During the same interview, Tems also shared insights into her close relationship with American R&B singer Brent Faiyaz. She described Faiyaz as a "very good friend" and revealed that their friendship dates back to 2021.
"He is a real one. He’s always supportive. I have a couple of artists I’m close to, and he’s one of them,"
Tems remarked.
In other news, Tems has achieved a significant milestone in her career, becoming the first female Nigerian artist to surpass 1 billion solo streams on Spotify. This remarkable accomplishment coincides with the release of her highly anticipated debut album, ‘Born In The Wild.’
