Nollywood is in mourning as actress and producer Sharon Okpamen passed away on Sunday at the age of 35, nearly a month after giving birth to her second child. The heartbreaking news was shared by Jackreece Daniel on Facebook, where he revealed that Okpamen had fallen into a coma after childbirth and sadly did not recover.

Daniel wrote,

"Nollywood actress and producer Sharon Okpamen has passed on. She was in a coma after childbirth and couldn’t make it alive."

The tragic news was also confirmed by Great Edos, a popular platform in Edo State, on their Facebook page. They expressed deep sorrow, saying,

"Sharon Okpamen has unfortunately passed on. It’s a sad day for Nollywood and the Edo entertainment scene."

Sharon Okpamen had announced the birth of her second child, Osarhuese, on July 31, sharing her joy with her fans on Facebook. She wrote,

"To God be the glory. Osarhuese is here."

Unfortunately, days after childbirth, the actress fell into a coma and did not regain consciousness, leading to her untimely passing.


Sharon Okpamen's death has sent shockwaves through the Nollywood industry and her home state of Edo, with fans and colleagues mourning the loss of a talented actress and beloved figure in the entertainment community.
