Mbah Appoints Miss Universe Nigeria as the Latest Brand Ambassador for Enugu

Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State underwent a ceremony held at the Government House in which he announced that he was making Miss Universe Nigeria, Chidimma Onwe-Adetsina, into a state brand ambassador. Chidimma hails from Amurri in the Nkanu West LGA, and at the same event, she was one of the people who was awarded together with her father Mr Okechukwu Onwe for her influencing achievements.
During his remarks, Governor Mbah commended Chidimma for her hard work, and dedication towards her courses, adding that her story is a true inspirational and resilient one of every Enugu person. He revealed how he is impressed by her achievements and how she helps in showcasing the culture of the state to the rest of the world.
Chidimma’s taking of the oath bears no relation at this particular time and may have something to do with the patronage of the youth and dissemination of education as the state allocates 33% of its budgeting towards education. With regard to the forthcoming international Miss Universe competition in Mexico, Governor Mbah promised her that the Government will mobilize all resources in readiness for the event.
In relation to the media, Chidimma expressed her gratitude to the government of Enugu State and the citizens of Nigeria for their assistance and shared her plans to help and inspire the local youth. She elaborated on dangers affecting her including race during the Miss South Africa contest such as when she bailed out before participating in Miss Universe Nigeria.
The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dame Ugochi Madueke, expressed confidence that Chidimma will excel at the Miss Universe pageant. Chidimma's role as a brand ambassador is set to inspire and mobilize the state's young people, especially girls, by sharing her experiences and advocating for educational opportunities.
