Japan and Tanzania Strengthen Ties in Trade and Development

DAR ES SALAAM—Tanzania and Japan have renewed their commitment to work together on trade and development programs.


During a farewell visit to Yusuph Mwenda, Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) Commissioner General, Japan’s Ambassador, Yasushi Misawa, emphasized the importance of their partnership. He praised TRA’s tax collection efforts for creating a good environment for foreign investors and pledged to continue supporting Tanzania’s economic growth.


Mr. Mwenda thanked Japan for its support and shared plans to improve efficiency through collaboration. He welcomed a proposal from Mr. Misawa for an exchange program, allowing TRA officials to visit Japan to learn about its tax systems.


Both leaders agreed to focus on their partnership to promote growth and prosperity for both nations.
