She said the country holds personal significance for her, noting that her pastor is Nigerian and that she has a large fan base in the country, often referred to as “Nigerian Barbs.” According to the artist, reports of kidnappings and killings of Christians during church activities were deeply troubling and compelled her to speak publicly. She said such incidents should prompt global concern and outrage, adding that silence in the face of persecution only emboldens further abuse.
