The Sudanese newspaper Al-Mandara News reported the Sudanese army seized arms shipments originally from Benghazi, Libya, intended for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) led by Hemedti.
Over 10,000 assorted weapons and substantial amounts of ammunition were seized. These arms were reportedly transported from Benghazi by four large tractors managed by Mahmoud Al-Shami, a Libyan overseeing such operations for the RSF.
The intended final recipient was a chain of individuals starting from Abdulrahman Ardakhi of the Guran tribe, to Mohammed Bakhit Doudia of the Mahamid tribe, and finally to Mansour Adam Abu Daku from the Tama tribe in Chad. To conceal their purpose, the tractors were marked with logos of international humanitarian organizations, suggesting they were delivering relief aid.
During a briefing to the Security Council, Sudanese representative Al-Harith Idris accused Khalifa Haftar's forces of supporting these operations, detailing that the Subul Al-Salam Battalion, loyal to Haftar and stationed in Kufra, has been sending ammunition and mortars to the RSF.
