Indian actor Naveen Kumar Gowda, popularly known as Yash, surprised fans by releasing a teaser of his upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups after skipping a scheduled fan meet on his 40th birthday.

The teaser, shared on Yash’s official Instagram account, introduces his character Raya through a series of intense action sequences. The visuals feature gunfire and dramatic moments, with Yash seen wielding a Tommy gun, offering a glimpse into the film’s dark and action-driven narrative.

The release coincided with Yash’s birthday celebrations, making the teaser a surprise for fans who had expected a personal appearance from the actor. Addressing his absence, Yash later shared a message on Instagram explaining that he is fully immersed in completing the film.

In his statement, the actor said he was aware of fans waiting to meet him over the past few years but emphasized that his focus is on ensuring the film is ready for its scheduled theatrical release on March 19, 2026. He assured fans that he plans to meet them in a bigger way in the near future.

Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Mohandas. The film has been simultaneously shot in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. The makers have also unveiled character posters featuring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria, setting the tone for the film’s dark, action-packed storyline.

The film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
