Rwandan artist Yampano has drawn widespread attention after sharing a photo of himself in tears alongside an emotional message on his social media platforms. In the post, he expressed deep disappointment, stating he had been betrayed by someone he trusted, and concluded with a farewell-like statement promising to “meet again in heaven.”

Yampano wrote that he often gives love to people who fail to value it, adding that the experience had caused him significant emotional distress. His words prompted concern among followers, with some questioning the reasons behind the tone of the message.

The reactions come as the artist continues to face public scrutiny following the recent circulation of a private video involving him and his partner. After the footage leaked online, Yampano filed a complaint with the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB), leading to the arrest of five individuals now facing prosecution.

One of the accused requested that Yampano also be investigated, alleging he contributed to the distribution of the video because he recorded it and stored it in an email account accessible to others.

Yampano is currently in Europe and has informed his followers that he has changed his phone number as the case continues.
