Nigerian-British actress Wunmi Mosaku has received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 98th Academy Awards for her role in the film Sinners.

Mosaku’s nomination places her among the contenders in a competitive category that includes Elle Fanning, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Amy Madigan and Teyana Taylor.

The film Sinners, in which Mosaku stars, is considered one of the productions attracting significant attention ahead of the awards ceremony. The movie also earned nominations for other cast members, including Michael B. Jordan for Best Actor and Delroy Lindo for Best Supporting Actor.

The 2026 Academy Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 15, with American comedian Conan O’Brien set to host the event.
