When WAEC released the 2026 school-candidate results, it said the results of 116,031 candidates, representing 5.95%, were still being processed.
A candidate in this group may initially see no result, an outstanding message or an incomplete subject record. Continue checking the official portal.

What a Withheld or Held Result Means
WAEC uses withheld or held when the result is connected to a reported examination-malpractice or irregularity case pending review.
This is an allegation and administrative status, not automatically a final cancellation.
For the 2026 school examination, WAEC said 167,486 results, or 8.59% of candidates who sat the examination, were withheld over alleged malpractice cases.
Affected candidates should use the official WAEC Notice of Examination Malpractice portal. The 2026 school-candidate module allows candidates to enter their examination number, view an available notice and make a representation when the system permits.
