Actor Ving Rhames was briefly hospitalized after collapsing during a lunch outing in Los Angeles, according to reports.

The 66-year-old “Mission: Impossible” star reportedly experienced the medical episode on Wednesday while dining with family at a restaurant in North Hollywood. Emergency responders were called to the scene and transported him to a nearby hospital for evaluation.

A representative for Rhames confirmed the incident and said the actor has since been discharged. According to his manager, Brad Kramer, Rhames is “on his way home” and in stable condition.

Kramer added that the actor appeared to be in good spirits shortly after the incident, noting that he was able to speak normally and even joked during a phone conversation.

Medical checks conducted at the hospital reportedly showed no ongoing concerns, and Rhames was said to be feeling much better.

The cause of the collapse has not been publicly disclosed.
