Uzee Usman Receives Dual Honors for Film and Peace Advocacy

Nollywood actor and producer Usman Adeyemi, widely known as Uzee Usman, has received new international recognition for his contributions to filmmaking and peace promotion.

At the 15th Peace Achievers International Awards, Uzee was honoured with two major accolades: Actor of the Year and the Entertainment Excellence Award. Organisers described him as a “creative ambassador” whose work supports peace and positive global values.

Uzee also received an award at the Global Entrepreneur Festival in Ghana, where he was unveiled as an ambassador, strengthening his influence as a cultural advocate across Africa.

Responding to the achievements, the actor expressed appreciation and reaffirmed his commitment to using film as a platform for unity and social development.

“I will continue to use my platform to impact cultural advocacy, peace, and empower the next generation,” he said.

He added that creativity is a “divine responsibility,” noting that film has the ability to educate, heal, and bring communities together — a principle that guides his work.

Industry observers say the recognitions reflect Uzee’s consistent focus on themes of unity and cultural identity. With a growing international profile, he is expected to expand his influence in Nollywood and global peace-building efforts.
