President Félix Tshisekedi has arrived in Türkiye for the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, where he is expected to take part in the fifth edition of the annual gathering and speak during a leaders’ panel on regional ownership in a changing world. According to the Congolese presidency, he will use the event to restate the Democratic Republic of Congo’s commitment to regional peace and stability.

The forum is being held in Antalya from April 17 to 19 and is hosted by Türkiye’s foreign ministry under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to the event’s official organisers. This year’s edition is focused on managing uncertainty in a rapidly changing global environment.

The Antalya Diplomacy Forum has become a regular platform for heads of state, diplomats, experts and international decision-makers to discuss geopolitical tensions, global conflicts and the future of multilateral cooperation. Turkish media reports say the 2026 edition is expected to bring together participants from more than 150 countries for talks on regional and international challenges, underlining the scale of the gathering this year.

For Kinshasa, Tshisekedi’s participation gives the DRC another another international platform to project its diplomatic position as regional security concerns remain central to its foreign policy. His appearance at the forum also fits into broader efforts by Congolese authorities to keep regional peace and stability high on the agenda during major multilateral meetings.
