United States President Donald Trump has said he has no plans to grant a pardon to convicted music executive Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Trump made the statement after confirming that Combs had formally requested a pardon through a letter. Speaking on the matter, the president said he had received the request but had no intention of approving it.
According to a report published by The New York Times, Trump acknowledged the existence of the letter, saying Combs “asked me for a pardon,” but declined to provide further details or make the document public.
The White House later confirmed Trump’s remarks through a spokesperson when contacted for comment.
Combs is currently serving a prison sentence after being convicted on two prostitution-related charges in July 2025. He was sentenced to 50 months in prison in October 2025.
Trump’s comments put to rest speculation over whether the high-profile music figure could receive executive clemency.
