Tracy Okodede, the newly crowned Miss Nigeria International, described her victory as a platform to showcase her home state and inspire others. She previously held the Miss Edo International title, which paved the way for her national participation.

In an interview, Okodede shared that her decision to enter the pageant was driven by a commitment to purpose-driven leadership, women’s empowerment, and community impact. She emphasized that the crown represents both grace and service.

“My goal was to demonstrate that beauty, intelligence, and compassion can coexist. I wanted to use my voice for something meaningful,” she said.

Okodede explained that representing Edo State was an honor and the national stage offered an opportunity to share her message with a wider audience. “It wasn’t just about wearing another crown; it was about growing in purpose and inspiring others across Nigeria,” she added.

Reflecting on her win, Okodede described a mix of excitement and disbelief. “Every contestant was incredible, but I knew I had poured my heart into this not to compete, but to connect. My victory is a testament to grace, perseverance, and purpose,” she said.

When asked what set her apart from other contestants, she highlighted authenticity. “I showed up as my true self—present, passionate, and purposeful. I wanted to represent a generation of women who lead with empathy, intelligence, and faith,” Okodede explained.

She also acknowledged the challenges faced during the campaign, from time management and self-doubt to maintaining physical and emotional balance. “Those moments taught me resilience. Confidence doesn’t come from never falling, but from always rising with grace,” she noted.
