The Ben marked his birthday by donating food and hygiene items to vulnerable families in Gatenga Sector, Kicukiro District.

Rwandan musician Mugisha Benjamin, popularly known as The Ben, marked his birthday by sharing a meal with vulnerable residents in Gatenga Sector, Kicukiro District.


Accompanied by his wife, Uwicyeza Pamella, the singer visited disadvantaged families on January 9, 2026, where he distributed food supplies and hygiene items as part of the initiative.


Speaking during the outreach, The Ben said the activity is one he hopes to continue annually and expand over time. He noted that the idea was jointly discussed with his wife and is intended to support neighbors facing difficult living conditions.


The singer recently turned 39, celebrating his birthday shortly after holding his “The New Year Groove” concert at BK Arena on January 1, 2026, where he performed alongside Bruce Melodie.


The Ben is widely recognized as one of Rwanda’s leading musicians and is known for hit songs including Why, Ni Forever, Ngufite ku Mutima, Habibi, Vazi, and Ndaje.
