Tekashi 6ix9ine will spend the next three months in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, a facility that is also holding Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.

The rapper checked into the jail on Tuesday afternoon and was escorted by federal correctional officers as he entered the facility. His arrival was accompanied by online streamer Adin Ross, who documented parts of the moment online.

Ahead of his incarceration, Tekashi said he hopes to interact with Maduro during their time at the same detention center. He stated that he would like to dance with him and potentially play cards while serving his sentence.

The Brooklyn detention center is known for housing high-profile inmates. Tekashi acknowledged the environment and said he expects to complete his sentence without issues.

The jail term follows Tekashi’s guilty plea in July related to drug possession earlier in 2025, which violated the terms of his probation and resulted in a three-month sentence.
