Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have turned their pop-meets-football love story into one of the biggest celebrity weddings of the year.

According to BBC, Swift’s longtime publicist Tree Paine confirmed that the global pop star and the American football player got married on Friday in New York City, with the ceremony taking place at Madison Square Garden.

The wedding brought together music, Hollywood and sports culture inside one of America’s most famous arenas. Comedian and actor Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, adding an unexpected Hollywood twist to the star-packed event.

Swift and Kelce both wore Christian Dior for the ceremony. Their wedding looks were designed by Jonathan Anderson, Dior’s creative director for women’s, men’s and haute couture collections, in close collaboration with the couple.

Swift completed her bridal look with custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewellery, while Kelce also wore a Dior look for the occasion.

The wedding party kept things close to family. Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, stood beside her as man of honour, while retired NFL star Jason Kelce served as best man for his brother.

Outside Madison Square Garden, the scale of the event was impossible to miss. Parts of Midtown Manhattan were temporarily closed as blacked-out SUVs moved through covered entrances and fans gathered around the venue hoping to catch a glimpse of the celebration.

Some fans reportedly sang Taylor Swift songs outside the arena, while others wore tour merchandise and climbed nearby structures to see more of the activity around the venue.

Madison Square Garden also joined the celebration with large signs reading “JUST&T MARRIED,” a playful nod to Taylor and Travis’s names.

The guest list reflected the couple’s reach across entertainment and sports. Among those mentioned were Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, Benson Boone and Gigi Hadid, with celebrities from different corners of pop culture reportedly attending the New York wedding.
