Grammy Award-winning artist Taylor Swift has awarded a total of $197 million in bonuses to members of her Eras Tour team following the completion of the global concert run.

Swift said the bonus system was designed to reward the people who worked behind the scenes throughout the tour, noting that higher tour earnings translated into higher payouts for staff. She described the practice as a way to recognise the effort and sacrifices made by workers who spent extended periods away from their families.

According to People, the beneficiaries included musicians, truck drivers, caterers, instrument technicians, merchandise teams, lighting and sound crews, production staff and assistants.

Additional recipients were carpenters, dancers, band members, security personnel, choreographers, pyrotechnics operators, riggers, hair and make-up artists, wardrobe staff, physical therapists and video production teams.

Swift also revealed that she personally wrote handwritten notes to each team member. She said the process, which took several weeks, was intended to acknowledge the personal impact of touring and to express her gratitude directly.

The gesture drew widespread praise on social media, with fans and industry observers commending the singer for recognising the collective effort behind the tour’s success.
