The Super Eagles preparefor 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match on June 7 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

The Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, is set to begin training on June 1 for a significant 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana. The match is scheduled for June 7 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

All invited players will arrive for an early camp to start immediate preparations, aiming for their first win in the qualifiers after initial draws against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.


The team, coached by Finidi George and currently third in Group C, will announce the player roster next week, which includes another upcoming game against Benin Republic. The Super Eagles are eager to secure a victory and boost their standings, supported by their home crowd in Uyo.
