Sista Afia says she did not invite Tracy Shay to her 10th anniversary concert amid debate over the minor’s appearance.

Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has clarified reports surrounding the appearance of a minor, Tracy Shay, at her 10th anniversary concert.

In a statement, the musician said she did not personally invite Tracy Shay to perform on stage and was unaware of how or when the young girl accessed the performance area. She stressed that the appearance was not part of the official concert lineup.

Sista Afia explained that her current priority is reviewing the success of her decade-long music milestone with her management team. She added that a detailed response on the matter will be issued after the review process is completed.

The incident sparked public discussion online, with social media users questioning the suitability of a minor appearing at an adult-rated concert.

Tracy Shay’s mentor, Wendy Shay, also addressed the situation, saying she was not informed about her mentee’s appearance. She stated that the decision was taken by Tracy Shay’s parents and clarified that neither she nor Sista Afia approved the performance.

Both artistes have called for calm as efforts continue to address the issue.
