Colombian singer Shakira and Nigerian Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy have officially released “Dai Dai,” the official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The song was released on Friday across major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Amazon Music. Shakira announced the release through her social media pages, writing: “Dai Dai is here. The @FIFAWorldCup 2026 starts now!”
FIFA also confirmed the release in a statement shared on its official X account, describing the track as a song that reflects “the energy, passion and global spirit” of the upcoming tournament.
According to FIFA, “Dai Dai” will serve as the official song supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aiming to raise $100 million before the end of the tournament to improve access to education and football opportunities for children worldwide.
The football governing body stated that Shakira will donate royalties earned from the song to the fund, while Sony Music plans to match the first $250,000 raised with an additional contribution.
FIFA said the song contains motivational themes focused on resilience, unity and ambition ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The release of “Dai Dai” has already generated strong reactions online, with fans praising the collaboration between the global pop star and the Afrobeats singer.
