Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira and Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy have announced a collaboration for the official 2026 FIFA World Cup song titled Dai Dai.

Shakira revealed the project through a video shared on social media on Thursday, introducing the track alongside visuals featuring dancers and football-themed scenes.

The short clip captures Shakira, who previously performed the official 2010 FIFA World Cup anthem Waka Waka, dancing while Burna Boy’s vocals blend with hers throughout the track.

According to the post shared online, Dai Dai is scheduled for release on May 14, 2026.

The collaboration marks another major international moment for Burna Boy, whose global profile has continued to rise through performances, collaborations, and award-winning projects.

Shakira remains one of the most recognised artists associated with FIFA World Cup music following the global success of Waka Waka (This Time for Africa) during the 2010 tournament in South Africa.

The announcement has generated widespread reactions online, with fans anticipating the release of the official soundtrack ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
