Sasha Ferguson addresses rumours of reconciling with Canary Mugume, reflecting on their split, healing process and co-parenting.

Ugandan socialite and former television personality Sasha Ferguson has spoken publicly about the possibility of reconciling with her estranged husband, journalist Canary Mugume.

The couple, who married in 2021 in one of Uganda’s most high-profile weddings, confirmed their separation late last year after a public and emotional fallout. Their split followed allegations of domestic violence and substance abuse, which Sasha detailed on social media, saying she endured significant pain behind closed doors and decided to raise their children on her own.

Canary Mugume, a journalist with NBS Television, has denied the allegations, stating that he has supported his children despite what he described as limited access.

During a recent question-and-answer session with her followers, Sasha addressed speculation about a possible reunion. She said she remains cautious about revisiting the relationship, citing the seriousness of the accusations and events that led to the breakup.

Sasha also reiterated her position on personal boundaries and respect, emphasizing that abuse should never be tolerated under any circumstances. She further reflected on her healing process, expressing gratitude for emotional recovery as she entered the new year.

On the subject of co-parenting, Sasha encouraged parents to focus on providing for their children regardless of the other parent’s involvement, stressing the importance of securing their future.
