Sabrina Carpenter stepped away from the bold, custom bodysuits that defined her Short N’ Sweet Tour, opting for a refined and classic style at a major industry event.

Over the weekend, the Espresso singer attended Variety’s ninth annual Hitmakers celebration, where she appeared in an archival cream Ralph Lauren Spring 2003 gown. The strapless, form-fitted dress featured floral embroidery and a wallpaper-style fabric, giving the look a vintage American elegance.

Carpenter styled her hair in loose curls and completed the look with her signature soft blush and a deep pink lip. She was presented with the Hitmaker of the Year award by longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff.

The ceremony drew several major artists, including Tate McRae, Addison Rae, Madison Beer and Blackpink’s Rosé.

The event also marked a milestone for Carpenter, who recently concluded her Short N’ Sweet tour after 72 shows. Throughout the tour, she was widely noted for wearing custom city-themed bodysuits, each designed to reflect the culture or identity of the location she performed in. She debuted pieces inspired by cities such as Nashville, Los Angeles and New York.

For her Halloween performance, Carpenter introduced themed outfits, appearing as Wonder Woman, Barbie and even Fred Flintstone, offering fans a mix of humor and pop-culture nostalgia.
