Ricardo Agbor’s road to fatherhood was not quick, but it came with the kind of ending many families pray for.

According to his recent interview, the veteran Nollywood actor revealed that he and his wife waited 18 years before finally welcoming their twins — a boy and a girl.

Agbor said the long wait tested many parts of his life, but not his commitment to his marriage. He explained that he married the woman he loved, even though she came from a different tribe, and refused to let family pressure or the delay in having children create division between them.

For the actor, the journey was deeply tied to faith. He said he specifically prayed to God for twins and held on to that request through nearly two decades of waiting.

Today, those twins are 14 years old, and Agbor speaks about them as proof of patience and answered prayer. His story adds another layer to the public conversation around childlessness, marriage pressure, and the emotional burden many African couples face when children do not come early.

The Nollywood star also reflected on one of the darkest moments of his life: losing his mother. He said she had been receiving treatment for about three weeks, but her condition did not improve.

Doctors later advised that she should be flown to South Africa for further medical care. However, Agbor said his mother asked to be moved from the hospital to another private facility in Surulere, Lagos.

That transfer became a heartbreaking memory for him. The actor said his mother died in his arms while he was helping her into the car.

Agbor admitted that the loss broke him deeply. He said it was the first time he could remember crying outside of a movie role, describing the experience as one of the most painful moments of his life.

Ricardo Agbor’s story is not just about celebrity family life. It is about love under pressure, faith during silence, and the private battles public figures often carry behind the screen. After 18 years of waiting, his testimony now stands as one of patience, grief, and gratitude.
