Popular TikTok streamer and content creator, Peller, has expressed concerns about the attitude of Nigerian musicians toward local media and influencers.

Speaking during a recent livestream in Enugu, Peller said his interactions and collaborations with artists have shaped his opinion that only a few Nigerian musicians demonstrate kindness and support, particularly toward local content creators.

According to him, many Nigerian artists tend to prioritize foreign influencers and international media platforms, often overlooking local streamers and media personalities. He added that this trend only shifts when the artists’ popularity begins to decline.

“Nigerian musicians don’t rate local streamers. They will be streaming with Americans, but when they don turn old taker, na then dem go dey find Naija streamers up and down,” he said.

Peller noted that, based on his experience, only a handful of artists stand out for their supportive attitude. He specifically mentioned Davido, Olamide, and Tiwa Savage as among the few he considers kind within the industry.

He further urged Nigerian entertainers, particularly musicians, to engage more with local media and influencers, regardless of their global success, emphasizing the importance of supporting homegrown platforms.
