Nasboi is tired of seeing gossip outrun real life.

The Nigerian entertainer has called out bloggers for giving too much space to celebrity drama while serious national issues struggle for attention. According to Hitz FM, Nasboi made the comments during an interview with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz.

The musician, comedian, actor and content creator said his recent video aimed at blog platforms came from frustration. For him, stories about kidnappings and other urgent issues should not be treated as background noise while divorce rumours and personal scandals dominate the timeline.

Nasboi questioned why some blogs repeatedly push celebrity controversy but fail to give the same energy to stories that affect ordinary Nigerians. He argued that entertainment platforms still have a responsibility to use their reach wisely.

He also raised concerns about whether some editorial choices are driven by money or attention. While he acknowledged that blogs serve an entertainment audience, he said that should not excuse the constant promotion of stories with little public value.

His criticism did not stop with bloggers. Nasboi also challenged audiences to rethink what they reward online. In his view, users help shape the media space by choosing what they click, share and discuss.

The conversation has since moved across social media, where many people have agreed that Nigerian blogs and their readers need to take more responsibility for the kind of culture they build online.

For Nasboi, the message is clear: entertainment can still be fun, but platforms with influence should not ignore real issues when people are facing serious problems.
