SOUTH AFRICA | 2 October 2026 - MTN8 final tickets cost R150, with the Premier Soccer League setting Friday, 2 October, at 10:00 SAST as the opening time for online sales. Orlando Pirates face Mamelodi Sundowns at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday, 10 October.
The PSL's ticket announcement directs buyers to Open Tickets. The opening time corresponds to 11:00 AM in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. Supporters should arrange their digital tickets before travelling: the club's instructions rule out purchases at the stadium.
How do you buy MTN8 final tickets? Use the official Open Tickets website for the Pirates-Sundowns final on 10 October. General access costs R150, with a maximum of four tickets per person. Sales are online only, children need tickets, and the club says paper printouts will not be accepted.
Where to buy the MTN8 final tickets
The official Open Tickets website lists the match as Orlando Pirates FC vs Mamelodi Sundowns FC (MTN8 Final). Check that the event date is 10 October and the venue is Moses Mabhida Stadium before proceeding.
Select the event, choose the required tickets and add them to the cart. At checkout, complete the buyer details, check the email address and proceed to payment. The platform sends tickets to the address entered during checkout, so an incorrect address can complicate access to the booking.
The Star's ticket guide explains the two time-sensitive parts of the process: an online queue may operate, and buyers have ten minutes to finish payment after adding tickets to their cart. Have the payment card and required information ready before reaching checkout.
Waiting in a queue is different from holding a paid ticket. Complete the transaction and check the resulting confirmation rather than assuming that selecting a ticket alone completes the purchase.
Digital entry: no stadium sales or paper tickets
Orlando Pirates' official instructions specify digital-only tickets. There will be no sales at the stadium or at physical outlets. The club also states that "no printouts will be accepted".

After a successful purchase, the ticket email contains a link that opens the digital ticket. Before leaving for the match, check that the link works on the device you plan to take and keep the device charged. Do not rely on a paper copy as a substitute for the required digital ticket.
The instruction also means supporters should not travel to the venue expecting to buy admission at a ticket window. Organisers direct the public to the official platform and warn against unauthorised third-party sellers.
The four-ticket limit includes planning for children
The PSL sets a maximum of four tickets per person. Every spectator, including children, needs a valid ticket for admission. Count the whole travelling group before beginning a purchase rather than leaving children's entry arrangements until matchday.

At the advertised R150 general-access price, three tickets total R450 and four total R600 before any additional charges that may be shown at checkout. These are ticket-price calculations, not quotations for hospitality packages, transport or parking.
Hospitality is handled separately. The league directs enquiries to the Moses Mabhida Stadium hospitality team on 031 322 3115 or MMS.Hospitality@durban.gov.za. Confirm the package price and inclusions with the team rather than treating a general-access ticket as a hospitality booking.
How to check whether tickets remain
Open Tickets explains in its purchasing help page that it does not display the number of tickets remaining. Its stated availability test is whether a customer can select a ticket and add it to the cart.
A visible event listing therefore does not establish how many seats remain, and an old promotional post is not a live inventory report. Use the purchasing controls for the current position. A slow page or a waiting queue should not, by itself, be treated as confirmation that the match is sold out.

The same help page says tickets are emailed after payment has been successfully processed. Check the booking outcome before making another purchase, particularly when buying for a group.
The final is scheduled for 18:00 SAST on Saturday, 10 October, equivalent to 19:00 EAT. The 2 October date refers to the start of ticket sales, not the match itself.
AfricaSoccer's venue report places the final's return to Durban after refurbishment and rehabilitation work at Moses Mabhida. The ticketing announcement says further matchday arrangements will follow; supporters should check subsequent official notices for the arrangements relevant to their visit.
For background on the finalists, XTRAfrica has covered Mohau Nkota's return to Orlando Pirates and published a profile of Sundowns midfielder Nuno Santos. Further reports are collected under South African football.
The immediate task for match-going fans is to use the authorised seller, complete the payment process and make sure their digital tickets are accessible. Final gate, parking and other matchday instructions should come from the organisers, not assumptions based on an earlier fixture.
