Uwase Muyango Claudine, winner of the Miss Photogenic title at Miss Rwanda 2019, has spoken publicly about the emotional impact of a past romantic relationship, saying the experience left her deeply hurt and discouraged about love.

Muyango made the remarks during a live discussion on TikTok hosted by Pastor Hakim, where she reflected on her personal journey following widely publicized relationship challenges. She stated that her focus has since shifted to financial independence and raising her first child, adding that she has chosen to distance herself from romantic relationships.

During the discussion, Pastor Hakim offered prayers and words of encouragement, suggesting that healing would eventually open the door to a new relationship. Muyango, however, firmly declined, emphasizing that her past experiences had taken a serious emotional toll.

She explained that while she was often portrayed negatively in public narratives surrounding her former relationship, the emotional burden she carried was largely unseen. Muyango noted that her private life became a subject of public scrutiny on social media and in the press, despite her preference to keep personal matters private.

The former beauty queen also revealed that she faced criticism and harassment, including comments about her appearance, which contributed to her decision to remain silent for long periods. She credited her resilience, faith, and ability to provide for her child as key sources of strength.

Later in the conversation, gospel singer Aline Gahongayire joined the discussion by phone, offering words of encouragement and sharing her own experiences with hardship. Gahongayire reminded Muyango that challenges are a part of life and can eventually lead to personal growth.

Muyango concluded by encouraging others facing difficulties not to lose hope, stressing the importance of self-belief and perseverance during challenging periods.
