Ghanaian musician Michael Adangba has survived a road accident that occurred in the early hours of Thursday while he was traveling to Bolgatanga to complete preparations for his upcoming Adangba Legacy Festival.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. as Adangba was on his way from Accra to Bolgatanga. Reports indicate that the vehicle he was traveling in collided with a truck near Tech Junction in Kumasi.

Adangba and his driver were both taken to a hospital shortly after the crash for medical evaluation.

Confirming the incident, Adangba’s manager, Wenawome Aborah, said the musician sustained injuries but is responding well to treatment. He noted that Adangba was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, which contributed significantly to reducing the severity of his injuries.

Images from the scene showed extensive damage to the front of the vehicle involved in the collision. Despite this, management has assured fans that the artist’s condition is stable and improving.

According to his team, the accident will not affect the scheduled Adangba Legacy Festival. The event is set to take place on December 21 at Paga Town Park and is powered by Kacstone Records.

The festival is expected to celebrate Michael Adangba’s musical career, which is widely recognized for its socially reflective lyrics performed mainly in Kasem, blended with English and other Ghanaian languages.
