A 41-year-old man has been sentenced to two years in prison after stealing hard drives containing unreleased Beyoncé music from a vehicle in Atlanta, Georgia.

The suspect, Kelvin Evans, pleaded guilty to charges including entering an automobile and criminal trespass in connection with the incident, which occurred in July 2025.

According to prosecutors, Evans broke into a rented Jeep Wagoneer used by members of Beyoncé’s tour team shortly before the singer’s Cowboy Carter performances in Atlanta.

Authorities said the vehicle belonged to Beyoncé’s choreographer, Christopher Grant, and dancer, Diandre Blue. The pair reportedly returned to find the vehicle’s rear window shattered and several personal belongings missing.

Investigators said the stolen items included MacBook laptops, Apple headphones, luxury fashion items and hard drives believed to contain unreleased music by Beyoncé.

Court documents also revealed that some of the devices contained sensitive personal information connected to the singer.

During the trial process, prosecutors presented surveillance footage allegedly showing Evans parking a red Hyundai next to the rental vehicle before the burglary took place.

Additional footage reportedly captured the suspect carrying luggage believed to belong to the victims at an apartment complex.

Authorities later tracked the stolen laptops using location technology, which helped investigators identify the suspect’s whereabouts.

In addition to the prison sentence, the court ordered Evans to serve three years of probation and avoid contact with the victims and the parking facility where the theft occurred.

The stolen hard drives and several missing items have not yet been recovered.

The incident happened shortly before Beyoncé began a four-night run at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium as part of her Cowboy Carter tour.
