Reality TV star and actress Roseline Afije, widely known as Liquorose, has revealed the inspiration behind her popular stage name. Speaking on a podcast with VJ Adams, she explained that the name was formed from her fondness for liquor combined with her birth name, Roseline.

Liquorose said she adopted the name on December 31, 2012, noting that it has since become a significant part of her public identity. “I picked Liquorose on December 31st, 2012. I like liquor, and my name is Rosaline as well. I am a very shy person too. My mum says in her language, ‘Alcohol is never shy,’” she said.

The entertainer also spoke about her personal life, admitting that her demanding schedule keeps her away from home more often than she would like. She stated that although her career requires frequent travel, she misses the comfort and closeness of her family.

“I don’t go home often; it’s bad. I miss my home, I miss my bed. We are very close in my family, and we know how to make each other laugh. We have stories we tell each other. I miss that,” she said.

Liquorose added that her last visit to her neighborhood was the previous year during her annual charity outreach, a tradition she holds every December.
