Kimenyi Yves Breaks Silence on Marriage to Miss Muyango

Former Rwanda national team goalkeeper Kimenyi Yves has addressed ongoing public speculation about his marriage to Miss Rwanda 2019 finalist Uwase Muyango Claudine, stating that their relationship remains stable despite persistent rumors.

Kimenyi, who previously played for top Rwandan clubs including APR FC, Rayon Sports, and Kiyovu Sports, made the remarks during a live TikTok discussion on Thursday night, February 5, 2026. The conversation, hosted by media personality Yago Pon Dat, focused primarily on Kimenyi’s football career and his transition into automobile importation and sales from China.

However, audience questions repeatedly shifted toward his private life, particularly his relationship with Miss Muyango, amid widespread online speculation suggesting marital difficulties or a possible separation.

While the host clarified that he did not intend to probe into Kimenyi’s family affairs, he offered the former goalkeeper an opportunity to address the matter voluntarily. In response, Kimenyi said he preferred to keep details of his personal life private but emphasized that there were no issues in his marriage.

“I do not wish to speak much about my private life,” Kimenyi said. “What I can say is that everything is fine.”

Public interest in the couple has intensified over the past two years, fueled by social media discussions and recent remarks made by Miss Muyango on TikTok. In those comments, she spoke broadly about prioritizing financial independence and inner peace, without directly referencing her marriage.

Kimenyi’s brief clarification appears to counter speculation, reaffirming that, according to him, his household remains intact.
