Barely a month after announcing their separation, Todd Tucker, estranged husband of Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss, has filed for full custody of their two children.
Tucker, 59, submitted a response to Burruss’ divorce petition, stating that their children, Ace, 9, and Blaze, 6, currently live with him most of the time, while Burruss, 49, is frequently out of state for work commitments.
According to reports, Tucker is requesting primary physical custody and is also contesting their prenuptial agreement, alleging he was pressured to sign it without legal counsel prior to their 2014 wedding. If the prenup is invalidated, he plans to seek alimony and a full division of marital assets.
Burruss and Tucker met in 2011 on the set of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, where Tucker was a line producer. Their relationship progressed quickly, leading to an engagement in January 2013 and a televised wedding in April 2014.
The couple built a blended family with Kandi’s daughter Riley and Todd’s daughter Kaela from previous relationships, alongside their two children, Ace and Blaze. Professionally, they partnered on ventures including the Old Lady Gang restaurant chain, a trucking company, and the Bravo reality series Kandi & The Gang.
Tucker is a producer known for Don’t Bring Your Man to Atlanta (2025) and The Pass (2023), while Burruss rose to fame as a member of multi-platinum R&B group Xscape and as a songwriter, including for Destiny’s Child’s hit “Bills, Bills, Bills.”
