Lilian Mbabazi missed her planned duet with Kitoko at Davido’s Kigali concert after stage time changes left her backstage.

Lilian Mbabazi left BK Arena disappointed on Friday night after missing an expected stage appearance during Davido’s concert in Kigali. The East African singer had been scheduled to perform a duet with Rwandan artist Kitoko Bibarwa but was never called to the stage.

The event, held on 5 December 2025, marked Davido’s fifth performance in Rwanda. The highly anticipated show, sponsored by Skol Malt, featured a lineup that included Kid From Kigali, Logan Joe, Juno Kizigenza, Ariel Wayz, Riderman and Kitoko Bibarwa as opening acts ahead of Davido’s “5IVE” album showcase.

Kitoko, who was set to perform the song “Yegwe Weka” with Mbabazi, received less stage time than planned. During his final minutes on stage, he mentioned that he had been instructed to conclude early, preventing him from performing the duet.

Meanwhile, Mbabazi waited backstage with a microphone prepared for her cue, which never came. After exiting the stage, Kitoko approached her to apologize, explaining that the decision had been beyond his control. Mbabazi responded calmly, acknowledging that the situation was not his fault.

Despite the setback, both artists expressed professionalism—Mbabazi showing understanding and Kitoko visibly disappointed by the missed opportunity to deliver the planned performance to fans.
