Justin Bieber is reportedly being considered for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show at MetLife Stadium.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup final may be getting an even bigger pop-culture moment.

According to TMZ, Canadian superstar Justin Bieber is reportedly in talks to perform during the halftime show at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final, scheduled for July 19 at MetLife Stadium, which will be known as New York New Jersey Stadium during the tournament.

The report says Bieber is being considered for a lineup that already includes Madonna, Shakira and South Korean group BTS. If it happens, it would turn the World Cup final into one of the biggest music-meets-football stages of the year.

Bieber has already been seen around the tournament atmosphere. He attended the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Inglewood, California, with his wife, Hailey Bieber, and later gave a private performance for invited guests on the same day.

The possible World Cup appearance also comes as fans continue to watch his slow return to the stage. In recent months, Bieber has made surprise appearances, including a stripped-back performance at the Grammy Awards and guest sets during Coachella.

Still, TMZ reports that Bieber is not currently focused on launching a full world tour. Instead, the singer appears to prefer selected live moments, which would make a World Cup final performance a major but controlled return to a global audience.

For FIFA, the idea fits into a bigger entertainment push. The 2026 World Cup final is expected to feature the tournament’s first official halftime show, bringing a Super Bowl-style music spectacle to football’s biggest night.

Neither FIFA nor Bieber’s team has confirmed the report, so the talks remain unofficial for now. But if Justin Bieber joins the 2026 FIFA World Cup final halftime show, the night will not only belong to football — it will also become a major global music event.
