Homera’s appointment was one part of a broader round of changes. Kadogosa, a former director-general of Tanzania Railways Corporation, was appointed minister for Works. Ulega moved to Constitutional and Legal Affairs, the docket vacated by Homera.
The government also announced appointments in public finance, health, economic empowerment and UNESCO affairs. Asha Khamis Abdulla was named deputy permanent secretary in the Ministry of Finance for financial management, while Prof Bruno Sunguya was appointed chief medical officer.
