Jason Isaacs is moving quickly back into work after receiving his first Golden Globes nomination for his role in The White Lotus Season 3. The actor earned wide praise for portraying Tim Ratliff, a white-collar criminal with a calculating and charismatic edge.
While the nomination marks a significant achievement, Isaacs explained that his focus is already on new projects. He noted that the extensive publicity commitments for the HBO series were valuable but not where his main interest lies.
“I was thrilled to go back to work because we all spent the better part of the year doing publicity,” he said. “While I’m privileged and proud to be part of the show, that’s not what I do for a living.”
Isaacs said returning to set helped him reconnect with the core of his craft. “I’ve just done three films back-to-back,” he added. “I feel excited again, energised about what I’m supposed to do, which is tell stories.”
The actor confirmed he will soon travel to New York for what he described as routine commitments, adding that the work involves meeting various collaborators.
Isaacs has recently completed three upcoming films. He wrapped Victorian Psycho in Dublin, followed by Eleven Days, directed by Peter Landesman and featuring Diego Luna and Rhea Seehorn. Most recently, he reunited with Gillian Anderson for The Julia Set, after previously working together on The Salt Path, which he described as a positive experience.
With new projects completed and awards recognition elevating his profile, Isaacs enters a busy phase of his career that audiences will be watching closely.
