American YouTuber and livestreamer IShowSpeed made an unexpected appearance at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final in Rabat, creating a widely shared moment during the championship match.

The content creator, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., entered the stadium disguised as the tournament’s official mascot, Simba, while wearing a Morocco national team jersey. He livestreamed the experience as he interacted with fans and reacted to the match between Morocco and Senegal.

The final ended in a 1–0 extra-time victory for Senegal after Morocco missed a stoppage-time Panenka penalty. IShowSpeed’s animated reactions during the game drew significant online attention, with reports indicating his livestream peaked at more than 400,000 concurrent viewers.

After the final whistle, the streamer met a young Moroccan fan outside the stadium who shared his personal story. The boy is visually impaired following multiple medical procedures and lives with autoimmune complications.

During their interaction, IShowSpeed revealed he had purchased a new iPhone 17 earlier with the intention of giving it to a deserving fan. After learning about the boy’s condition and his reliance on accessibility technology, he handed him the device, citing its features designed to assist visually impaired users.

The exchange concluded with an emotional moment that resonated widely online, even as fans continued to reflect on Morocco’s narrow defeat on home soil.
