According to a report by Daily Post, Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido has responded publicly after being accused of owing a wedding planner $50,000 in unpaid fees related to his wedding ceremony.

The allegation surfaced on social media after Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, chief executive of the event planning company reportedly responsible for organizing Davido and Chioma’s wedding, was said to have raised concerns over an outstanding payment. The claim gained traction online alongside an alleged private chat in which the planner threatened legal action over the matter.

The viral report quickly drew attention across social media platforms, prompting reactions from fans and commentators as screenshots and claims circulated widely.

Davido addressed the allegation on Sunday evening via X (formerly Twitter), where he dismissed the report and described the situation as an insult. Reacting briefly, the singer wrote that the allegation was “just crazy at this point,” signaling his rejection of the claim.

As of the time of reporting, no legal action has been publicly confirmed, and neither party has released further details clarifying the status of the alleged debt.
