Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has publicly responded to renewed claims of paternity after a 12-year-old girl requested a DNA test to establish whether he is her biological father.

The issue resurfaced on Thursday after the minor, identified as Mitchelle Anuoluwapo, shared an emotional message on Instagram describing the psychological toll the unresolved claim has had on her life. In the post, she appealed directly to the singer, asking for a DNA test to confirm her identity.

According to her account, the teenager said she had experienced years of bullying from a young age, stating that classmates mocked her whenever she claimed Davido was her father. She also disclosed that the situation affected her mental health, prompting visits to medical professionals for emotional support.

In her message, she explained that her request was personal and aimed at resolving long-standing questions surrounding her identity. She added that she had sent the same request to the singer privately and thanked members of the public who had supported her over the years.

Davido, however, rejected the claim, stating that the matter had already been addressed. Responding in the comment section of the post, the singer denied being her father and said multiple DNA tests had previously confirmed this.

He maintained that he had never met the girl’s mother and insisted that the allegations were false, adding that he already has children and called for an end to the claims.

The development has reignited public discussion around the long-running paternity dispute, which has surfaced intermittently over the years.
