Nigerian musician Davido arrived in Kigali on the night of December 4–5, 2025, ahead of his album-listening concert for his latest project, 5Ive. The event is scheduled to take place on December 5 at BK Arena.

Davido, whose official name is David Adedeji Adeleke, landed at Kigali International Airport around 2:00 a.m. after hours of anticipation from local media and fans. He was accompanied by members of his management team and instrumentalists who will support him during the performance.

Upon exiting the airport, he recorded a short video greeting his followers on social media, showing his arrival in Rwanda and expressing appreciation for the warm reception despite the late hour.

The concert will feature several Rwandan performers, including Kitoko, Riderman, Ariel Wayz, Juno Kizigenza, Kid from Kigali, DJ Marnaud, DJ Toxxyk, and DJ Alisha, among others.

Davido’s 5Ive album, released on April 18, 2025, includes collaborations with artists such as Chris Brown, Omah Lay, Shenseea, Tayc, and Dadju. It is his fifth studio album, following Omo Baba Olowo (2012), A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and Timeless (2023).

This marks Davido’s fourth performance in Rwanda. His first visit was in 2014 during the 20th Liberation Anniversary celebrations. He returned in 2018 as part of the “30 Billion Africa Tour,” performing alongside Buravan, Charly & Nina, and Riderman. His most recent show in Kigali was in 2023 during the Giants of Africa Festival held at BK Arena.
