Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe has confirmed that he ended his relationship with his baby mama, Emmanuella, more than a year ago, describing the period as one of the most difficult chapters of his life.

In a series of posts shared on Instagram, the skit maker said the relationship had a significant impact on his mental health, finances, and creative output. According to him, the challenges he faced during that time left him unable to focus, produce content consistently, or maintain personal stability.

Carter Efe explained that the separation, though painful, became a major turning point for him both personally and professionally. He noted that the period was especially difficult because it involved time apart from his child, whom he said he did not see for several months.

The entertainer added that his recent growth and increased visibility in the streaming space came after he walked away from the relationship. He attributed his improved emotional state and renewed creative energy to that decision, saying he is now in a better place.

Carter Efe has in recent months gained wider attention in Africa’s online streaming community, a rise he directly linked to the changes he made following the breakup.
