According to Saturday Star, week two of Big Brother Mzansi Season 6: Bazozwa marked a turning point in the competition, as heightened tensions, strategic gameplay and the season’s first evictions reshaped dynamics inside the house.
The week began with Dube being named the second Head of House (HoH), granting him significant influence over nominations and house strategy. His leadership immediately drew attention from fellow contestants, as alliances and expectations began to shift around his decisions.
Big Brother later announced the first nomination list of the season, placing Tumi the Barber, Neliswa, Lawredo,, Que, The Don and Ofentse at risk of eviction. The announcement altered the tone in the house, prompting serious conversations and emotional reactions among nominees. While some housemates attempted to downplay the implications of being nominated, others openly questioned the fairness and strategy behind the selections.
Personal relationships also came under strain. A candid discussion between Trixie and Bravo B highlighted emotional tensions, with disagreements over communication and commitment leading to visible distress. Meanwhile, awkward moments followed when Kokii sought clarity about her relationship with Dube, only for the conversation to end without resolution.
Competitive pressure intensified during the wager challenge, where a heated disagreement between Buhle B and Kokii underscored growing frustrations. Buhle B’s earlier success in the Robertson’s Spice Challenge further positioned her as a potential threat, while ongoing food shortages added to general discontent in the house.
Despite internal conflicts, housemates managed to unite during the Umsindo-themed wager, delivering a strong performance that secured a full-budget win and briefly lifted morale.
Outside the house, the week’s events were unpacked on Spills with Biggie on Mzansi Magic, where host Naledi M, joined by former housemates and influencers, discussed key confrontations and audience reactions. The Friday Night Games added further controversy, with Didi winning R10,000 amid disputes over rule interpretations.
Tensions peaked on Saturday following a confrontation between King Wanda and Ofentse, which escalated into a heated argument involving several housemates before intervention prevented further conflict.
During Sunday’s live eviction show, host Smash Afrika reviewed the week’s developments, culminating in the eviction of Lawredo and Ofentse, the first housemates to leave the competition. Following his exit, Lawredo described his eviction as a personal victory, while Ofentse reflected on being perceived differently than he had intended.
In a final twist, HoH Dube was given the power to save two housemates, choosing Bravo B and Kokii, a move that reinforced the unpredictable nature of the season.
With alliances forming and pressure mounting, Big Brother Mzansi Season 6 continues to gather momentum as the competition moves into its next phase.
