Nollywood actress Ashabi Simple has spoken publicly about the circumstances that led her to report Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, to law enforcement authorities.

In a video shared online, the actress, who shares a child with the singer, described an incident that allegedly occurred during the recent holiday period. According to her account, the confrontation took place when Portable reportedly approached her family in a hostile manner.

Ashabi alleged that the singer threatened members of her family with weapons and became physically aggressive during the encounter. She claimed the situation escalated after Portable demanded that family members surrender their mobile phones while making statements she described as incantations.

Detailing the incident, the actress said her siblings were physically assaulted during the confrontation. She added that her brother sustained an injury during the altercation and still bears a visible scar.

Ashabi further alleged that she was slapped, her sister was pushed, and her brother was struck during the confrontation, prompting her decision to seek police intervention.

The incident adds to a series of public controversies involving the singer, who has previously drawn attention for disputes and confrontations that have played out both online and offline.

The matter has continued to generate widespread discussion on social media, with many calling for calm and due process as authorities address the allegations.
