Nigerian actress Angela Okorie has reportedly been re-arrested following allegations that she failed to pay legal fees owed to a lawyer who helped secure her bail, according to Daily Post Angela Okorie re-arrested over ….

The actress was said to have been re-arrested at Suleja Prison on Tuesday, shortly after being released on bail. Reports indicate the development occurred less than an hour after actor Stanley Ontop raised concerns online about an alleged plan to re-detain her.

In a video shared on Instagram, actress Doris Ogala claimed that Okorie was re-arrested on the instruction of an unnamed Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) over an alleged refusal to pay an agreed N5 million legal fee. Ogala said the lawyer had been engaged to facilitate Okorie’s bail and that part of the fee had already been deposited by a third party.

According to Ogala, the dispute arose after Okorie reportedly argued that she did not authorize the engagement of a SAN and therefore declined to settle the legal fees after her bail was granted.

Daily Post further reported that Okorie had initially been granted bail on Friday following her arrest over alleged defamation. She was said to have regained her freedom again after perfecting her bail conditions.

The matter remains the subject of public discussion, with no official statement yet released by legal authorities involved in the case.
