Warren, who was nominated for Best New Artist this year, opened his live set by singing while walking through the audience toward the main stage. Early in the performance, the singer appeared visibly frustrated as he struggled with his in-ear monitor, a device performers use to hear themselves clearly during live shows.
At one point, the earpiece appeared to loosen or fall out, prompting Warren to adjust the equipment while continuing to sing. The issue briefly caused him to lose timing as the song reached its chorus. Despite the interruption, he quickly regained his rhythm and carried on with the performance.
The set later featured Warren rising above the crowd on a floating platform, during which his vocals remained steady. Viewers noted that he completed the remainder of the performance without further visible issues.
Fans reacted quickly on social media, with some pointing out the technical setback while others praised his composure and recovery. Several comments highlighted his ability to continue professionally despite the early disruption.
Warren earned his first-ever Grammy nomination in the Best New Artist category alongside Sombr, Olivia Dean, Addison Rae, Leon Thomas, The Marías, Katseye, and Lola Young. The award ultimately went to Olivia Dean.
